So what is geocaching?
Geocaching is an outdoor treaure hunting game that requires participants to use GP enabled devices and navigate to certain co-ordinates. Once at the location, they need to find a hidden container called the ‘geocache’. In challenge 3, they had to go over to Rodeo drive and actually count the number of palm trees.
Kia recently organised a geocache challenge for two sets of friends in the Kio Rio 5-door. The team had to utilize the awesome features of the car and navigate themselves through L.A. on the look for Christina Milian.
The duo had to visit places like the Griffith Park Merry Go round, a historic landmark where even Walt Disney brought his children. Here, the team had to use cubes to answer trivia questions while on the ride. At Amoeba Records, they had to find a hidden Christina CD.The next task was to count the number of palm trees on Rodeo Drive! After the team finished this, they had to head over to Pink’s Hot Dogs and clean up their plates for the next clue. Then came the ultimate task where the teams were asked to go to Roosevelt Hotel and finally meet up with Christina!! The challenge at Amoeba Records was definitely the most challenging. The place is huge and finding a particular CD amongst thousands of other records, is quite a task!
The Rio has a multitude of features which you can check out at the Rio Explorer Page. How many times have you got a call when you were driving.. ? Well, thanks to the bluetooth feature in Rio, you can now answer calls without even holding your phone. The steerwheel has buttons to pick or drop the call. Geocaching is just not about getting to the destination and finding the cache, it’s about having fun while you’re at it. With USB functionality, you can enjoy some entertaining music over your journey. No longer do you need CDs and DVDs. Another great and much needed feature is the rear camera display. It gives you a live image of what’s behind your vehicle and helps you reverse and park in a giffy without worring too much.
The Rio is built using UVO Technology.
